The present study seeks to investigate the relationship between leadership style and conflict management strategies of commanders and managers. This research is applied in terms of purpose and in terms of data collection, it is descriptive-correlational. The statistical population of this study includes commanders and executives of police command in Mazandaran province. Using Cochran method, 216 individuals were selected by stratified random sampling. Data collection tool was standard questionnaires of conflict management and leadership style. The reliability of the questions was measured and confirmed by Cronbach's alpha formula as 0.88 and 0.86, respectively. Data were analyzed by SPSS software using descriptive and inferential methods (correlation coefficient, regression and Friedman test). Findings indicate that there is a positive and significant relationship between leadership style and conflict management. The results also showed that there is a significant relationship between conflict management components and leadership style. Given that one of the requirements of the NSA is that commanders and senior executives and their middle managers are well aware of the leadership styles and strategies of conflict management and how appropriate they are, they can generate new ideas if they can move the conflicts in a constructive way and can become creative, providing the ground for change, innovation, and productive change in the organization, and ultimately helping managers achieve their organizational goals and improve the quality of decision making.
