The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of leadership styles on the establishment of knowledge management in the police department of Qazvin province. This research is based on objective, practical and descriptive-survey method. The statistical population consisted of all the staff of the deputy chiefs and policemen of the police command of Qazvin province. The sample size was selected by stratified random sampling method using Cochran formula. The data gathering tool was a questionnaire of leadership style in knowledge management and knowledge management deployment. The validity of the questionnaire was content of 893/0 and its reliability was 0.893, which indicates the reliability of this tool. Also, to measure the variables of the proposed model in the research, using the structural equation modeling and confirmatory factor analysis method have been used. The results of the research indicate that there is a positive and significant relationship between leadership styles in knowledge management, including humanistic, systematic, dynamic and passive style with the establishment of knowledge management. In the meantime, humanistic style is ranked first. The significance and impact of each of the leadership styles in knowledge management has been different. Therefore, it is possible to strengthen the leadership style that has the greatest impact on the establishment of knowledge management more effectively on the establishment of knowledge management.
