The purpose of this study is a meta-analysis of the investigations on the relationship between organizational commitment and job satisfaction to estimate the magnitude of the overall effect size of the relevant studies. The present study, based on its method, is of an applied and developmental type. The statistical population of this study included previous studies on organizational commitment and job satisfaction up to 2016. Using a purposive sampling method, 8 studies that had the proper characteristics for entering the meta-analysis were selected. The data were collected using library studies and the data analysis method was based on meta-analysis. In this way, using the funnel chart and linear regression method, the rank correlation and N-Secure from the error, the emission error is examined and using the Q test the heterogeneity of the studies was examined. Considering the heterogeneity of the studies, the random effects model was used to combine and achieve the overall effect size. The estimated effect size of the samples is 0.479, which is moderate on the basis of Cohen's interpretation system. Therefore, it can be said that organizational commitment has a large impact on job satisfaction of I.R.I Police staff members. Since the purpose of the meta-analysis is to combine the results of previous research and thus provide a clearer perspective of the results of various researches, it can be said that by increasing organizational commitment, job satisfaction also increases with moderate intensity.
