Transformational leaders empower their followers by supporting creativity and individual diversity and psychological empowerment, creating a creative and diverse atmosphere in the organization. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between cognitive diversity, team intrinsic motivation and creativity by considering the moderating variable of transformational management. The research method is descriptive-correlational and of an applied research type. The statistical population includes employees of the Tehran Police Co-operative Foundation (the group of hotels and complexes of I.R.I Police Pardis). The samples were determined using simple random sampling method. The sample size was estimated as 132 individuals using Morgan table and Cochran formula. Using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), the results of this study show that cognitive diversity has a positive and significant relationship with team creativity. Members with diverse thinking styles and different value systems can analyze problems from different angles and consider different choices. The cognitive diversity has a positive and significant relationship with the team's intrinsic motivation: the greater the cognitive diversity of the team, the more likely it is that its members have the information, knowledge and views related to their duties. Evidence suggests that the team's intrinsic motivation does not have a mediating role in the positive relationship between cognitive diversity and team creativity. In addition, behavioral dimensions of transformational management can moderate the relationship between cognitive diversity and team intrinsic motivation. Transformational leadership moderates the indirect effect of cognitive diversity on team creativity through teamwork intrinsic motivation, in a way that the relationship is stronger when the leadership is more trans formative.
