Abstract The world largest Companies, have acquired their main advantages in the way of continuous knowledge processes. Police is an organization that because of its activities have a significant impact on society. So, study of organizational factor in this institution is very important and effect on the effectiveness. The purpose of this paper is study the impact of organizational factors on organizational effectiveness with regard to the role of knowledge management. In this research, employee involvement, teamwork and organizational structure has been considered as the most important organizational factors. The research method was survey. The population of the research was Police staff in east and west of Tehran province. Using stratified Clustering sampling and Morgan table 240 employees were selected. Five types of questionnaires with 5 items Likert Scale were used. Reliability of variables and content and construct validity is measured by professors and confirmatory factor analysis. Data was analyzed using structural equation modeling. The results show that organizational factors in Police officer has significantly positive effect on knowledge management. Knowledge management also plays the role of mediator between factors and organizational effectiveness.
