given the environmental changes and growing local and global competition, in order to stay in the competition and more profitability the organizations need to have motivated, committed, skilled and powerful employees. In fact, there has always been a growing need to managerial practices empowerment. Therefore, the aim of this comparative study was to examine the psychological empowerment dimensions in the three banking, education and health industries in Iran.
This study is of a descriptive-survey research type. In order to assess the dimensions of psychological empowerment, Spreitzer (1992) questionnaire was employed. The face and content validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by experts and its reliability was assessed using Cronbach's alpha (α=.925). Then, the binomial test was employed for testing the hypotheses and H. Kruskal-Wallis test was used to compare the organizations; and SPSS software 20 was used for data analysis. The findings of this study, which was surveyed among all 160 staff members of these service organizations (including 74 employees of education, 50 employees of bank, and 36 employees of hospital), indicated that the employees consider their jobs significant and have a sense of competence. In addition, they think that the effect of their role on their jobs is very much. However, they do not have a sense of self-determination or independence in doing their work and do not have the ability to take the initiative in their jobs. According to the results, employees who are high in terms of the all four psychological dimensions have positive assessment of their work.
