The present study aims is identification of effective intrinsic and extrinsic motivation of organizational knowledge management implementation process in Isfahan Oil Refining Company. It was used a survey-descriptive method in this research and the population under investigating includes all managers and employees of Isfahan Oil Refining Company with a diploma education and higher (2454 people). To determine the sample size, it was used the formula of sampling i.e. Cohen and were selected 368 people as research sample. For identify motivation at first, the effective factors of organizational knowledge management implementation were studied. The next step motivational theories and the researchers studies were scrutiny, then analyzed the motivation data and the basic factors were extracted. After a discussion with subject specialists and researchers, using the views and opinions of theories and studies and performed analysis questionnaires, the factors affecting knowledge management implementation process were identified. In order to determine the reliability it was used Cronbach’s alpha coefficient (0.94). The results showed that all factors intrinsic and extrinsic motivations identified, the implementation of knowledge management influence and impact more than average. The findings of the study indicated that the intrinsic motivation “the desire to make progress, being targeted, interest in work, the desire to team work, self-confidence, sense of duty, the need for security, and trust and loyalty among employees” and extrinsic motivation “incentives institutional, organizational justice, delegation of authority, relationships with managers, relationships with colleagues, equipment and information technology, evaluation of staff, and organizational policies” are affecting KM implementation process.
