Today, management needs certain characteristics to adapt to changes, survive and develop in new and complex environments. Since mangers require being more nimble and agile than the past, they need some special equipments. One of the most important qualities that can help mangers in responding to these changes is emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence tries to describe and explain the position of emotions and feelings in humans` capabilities. The present study which is descriptive and its required data were collected through library research tries to investigate the role and position of emotional intelligence in management from Islamic perspective. Looking at different aspects of emotional intelligence including self-awareness, self-control, being aware of emotions in others and relationship management, it can be easily stated that Islamic teachings emphasize each of them and considers them as parts of personal and social lives of humans. A manger in an Islamic society attains a high self confidence and self esteem through relationship with God which in turn leads to self improvement and self controlling of emotions. With this perspective one learns that before judging about other people`s walking, they should walk with their shoes for a while (sympathy). Finally, the art of management in Islam is establishing relationships with people and treating them friendlily and kindly. If this happens a manger can do his responsibilities easier. All of these things are achieved when the human`s soul has a special spirituality and knows that whatever they do is just for God`s satisfaction and helping God`s creatures.
