Improvement and development of every organization depend on thorough and
competent managers and employing thorough managers relies on appropriate
approach and criteria in order to choose managers. Every organization reaches its
goals by its managers. Therefore, suitable choices and employing competent
managers plays an important role in success of organization and reaching
strategic goals. Police organization has to employ competent managers for main
jobs in order to establish safety in spite of its great responsibilities in police
missions. Police control office of assistant is responsible for choosing managers.
In this process, several criteria are presented which each of them has specific
priority and some people are candidates for management position. Consequently;
multiple attributes decision making methods can put this decision making
process based on scientific approach into practice, meanwhile can be able to
operate automatically by current tools and means in case of requiring planning
and implementing suitable means.
The aim of this research is to present an approach to choose competent
manager. Thus, it is practical and its method is library on terms of collecting
At the beginning of this study multiple attributes decision making method is
presented, and continually an approach to use this method in order to choose the
competent method is described, also a case study has been applied so as to
evaluate validity of the suggested method.
