By presenting the element of knowledge and wisdom as the most important sources and capital for organizations, a new window has been opened in handling the affairs and managing the organizations. Nowadays, knowledge management is an important and vital matter in the organization. Knowledge management is the strategic attempt of organization which is taken to make the employees work more efficient and decrease redoing the tasks and at last they present more creative services and full fill the client’s needs better through controlling and using ideas that the staffs have. Thus, considering the extent and the number of missions for security and discipline, Police Organization needs production and constant using the staff’s practical and scientific experiences so that it changes from a Bureaucratic organization to a knowledge-based one. The aim of this research is to study the attention drawn to exchanging knowledge and police practical and scientific experiences among the staffs. The method of this research is analytical –descriptive and the statistical population consisted of all the police staffs in West Azerbaijan province and the samples including 385 people were selected using the random sampling method. At last 380 questionnaires were collected. In order to gather the data and assessing the variants in this research, Bak, Kankanhali, Wasco and Faraj questionnaires were used and for analyzing the data and the hypotheses we used Pierson test and regression analysis and path analysis. The findings show that the attention to exchange knowledge among people with different ages and working background is various. The higher the position and the age are, the more the knowledge exchange is. The results show that there is a significant relation between paying attention to knowledge exchange and individual attitude, professional self respect and granting value to professional people, interacting, personal efficiency and reputation. The hypotheses which had the noted variants received 95 percent of support and the variant of enjoying helping other people didn’t receive the necessary support. Also the results of several variant regression and path analysis show that independent variants, individual attitude, professional self respect, granting value to professional people and interaction presents 20.1 percent of dependent variant variance and the rest is under the influence of other variants.
